Ramón Galindo Castillo + The number PI “π” = Modular Star Chess
“MODULAR STAR CHESS - Multiplayer boards for Chess and Draughts“
Its relation to Mathematics
Its relation to Geometry
Its relation to the Physique
How the Invention was developed:
Each Board Game configuration for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or more players, is set up Symmetrically and Proportionally, forming Regular Polygons in a Circumference (triangle = 3 players, square = 4 players, pentagon = 5 players, hexagon = 6 players, and so on).
The dividing up of the different Regular Polygons, always results in “Triangles” and inside those triangles, we form “Pentagons” (Modules, which together form the different game boards. 32 “Squares” are divided up inside these “Pentagons” for each player.
Each one of the resulting patterns throughout the “Moduling” process is always “Proportional and Symmetric”.
This process of dividing the Polygons and fitting all the squares together is done by making geometric patterns inside other geometric patterns through Vanishing Points.
In this way, “Perspective” forms are created and a new view of the game for the Human Brain, or “from Two, it becomes Three dimensional”.
Each and every one of the configurations are based on the Length of the Circumference (see formula), the end results of which are always “approximations to the number PI “π” = 3.1415926535......................, (see Graphic Examples).
If with the same Modules we form a Pyramid, it will result in approximations to the number PI “π” (see formula).
Each and every one of the different game board configurations for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or more players, always has the form of a Star. Stars with a number of points according to the different boards for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or more players, these Stars are formed from the centre of the game boards”.
The playing order is to be Anticlockwise (from Left to Right), the same Positive sense as the Earth’s Rotation, as the Movement of the Planets around the Sun and as the Moon around the Earth.
Each and every one of the moves performed in the course of Modular Chess games passing through the centre of the field, are attracted towards the centre of the board (as if absorbed by a Black Hole) and are then cast out towards the edges.
The number of moves that can be made on the new Modular Chessboards, increases exponentially arriving at GOOGOL figures, which is the Highest Number of Elementary Particles in the known Universe.
Modular Chess games can be written down or notated in Simple Algebraic notation, Full Algebraic notation and in the Descriptive system where all the squares are situated on the board by way of 3 alphanumeric variables, Rows 1, 2, 3, 4 ; Columns a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, and Modules 1, 2, 3, 4.
The end result of this Innovation is multiplayer Modular Chessboards for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or above, with a Three-dimensional View that complies, without any breach, with the Rules and Standards of the International Chess Regulations governed by the (FIDE) World Chess Federation.
For the first time in the History of Chess, Doubles matches can be played (in Pairs) on the 4-player board, or Trebles (Three against Three) on the 6-player board or more.
As of now, Chess ceases to be an individual sport and becomes a Team sport.
This Multiplayer Modular Chess arrangement solves the problem that has been unanswered for 3,500 years.
According to versions of its history, it was invented in India in the 4th Century BC with the name CHATURANGA, which in SANSKRIT means “4 armies”, “4 parts”, “game for 4 players”, but it had a logistics problem in the centre of the field which They Could Not Solve so they decided to eliminate the central squares. Centuries went by until the Arabs (about 1000 years ago) found a Partial Solution by converting the board for 2 players (the game of Chess we have come to know today).
Modular Draughts boards also comply with the International Rules of each and every one of the different games of Draughts that exist in the world. In the same way, it ceases to be an individual game and becomes a team game and Doubles matches can be played or Trebles and beyond.
